My mind feels thoroughly poked and prodded.

This afternoon =

566 true-and-false questions--my favorites being the ones starting with "when you were a youngster..." I also enjoyed "sometimes I feel possessed by evil spirits: true or false."

+

sentence completions & racking my brain to find three FAMOUS non-religious leaders that I admire & their qualities

+

185 questions in the same vein as the first, but online

+

choosing my personality from 300 adverbs (I think I had around 50)

And yet it's only part of determining whether or not I'm mentally fit to be a pastor. Sometimes the Candidacy Process seems slightly ridiculous.

On the positive side, I should never have to do this again.

I had a nice walk to and from the church (It was GORGEOUS outside).

I GRADUATED YESTERDAY!!!

You'll survive through 21% of the movie!

You get ambushed by the monster and messily killed about ten minutes into the film. What's left of your corpse is discovered by the heroes a few moments later.

I particularly enjoy the question "During the alien assault, where are you?" as well as the fact that "redneck" is listed as an occupation. :-)

A lot of people have already seen this--but it was fun to make, so I thought I'd post it here too. :)

I made a decision
and it's not the one I thought I would make,
but I think it's the right one.

It kind of makes me happy. :)

You’re St. Justin Martyr!

You have a positive and hopeful attitude toward the world. You think that nature, history, and even the pagan philosophers were often guided by God in preparation for the Advent of the Christ. You find “seeds of the Word” in unexpected places. You’re patient and willing to explain the faith to unbelievers.

AGH! I have so much more stuff I should be doing. lmao

Remembering freshman year notes: "I think I can...I think I can...I think I can..." lol

Signing off,

I might add though:

Christmas was good. Really good.

This one image is enough to sustain me:

We went to get my grandpa early in the morning and brought him to our house while my mom and I opened presents. Just as we thought he was asleep we looked over and saw him smiling and laughing with his eyes closed and his face tilted toward the ceiling. He was listening to "his girls" and he was at peace.

Obituaries are so telling. It's driving me crazy. I think, though, what's driving me crazier is how emo I'm being about it. I'm not a person who likes not knowing. All I want is a fragment to hold onto, and then I'll be satisfied, and I can move on. It's just like the next piece in the puzzle. You have to know these things to know yourself. And then you can move on...really.

I have happier things to tell though.

Yesterday, we went to visit my grandpa and he was doing extremely well. He was up for a walk and then did word games. He was a little out of it today, but he's still doing well. We're going to go over tomorrow to hopefully get him up, shaved and dressed for some fresh air and the service at church for Christmas Eve. If not, at least the shave. He's definitely being sprung for Christmas though. :)

The Christmas Pageant went really well this morning too. People really came together to make it happen. It wasn't perfect by any means, but the children were adorable (of course). You can't go wrong with that. :) --favorite moment was the dove sticking her tongue out at the sheep who was trying to take the shepherd's cane while the cow tried to stop chaos. lol.

I am officially done with Christmas shopping too. Just wrapping and baking ahead--TWO DAYS!! :D

As I probably won't post again before that,

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
